Frank's First Snow Day

Yesterday was a Snow Day in columbia. We do not get them very often. Frank had the day off from school and Mommy had to take the day off from work to stay home with Frank and puppies. Frank kept calling the snow "ice". He did not really understand snow too much. We did not get much snow just a sprinkle that barely lasted long enough for pictures. It snowed all morning but it was above freezing so nothing stayed on the ground. Frank did keep yelling and I mean yelling to go outside but Mommy was much too cold for that. We ended up watching hours of Baby Einstein DVDs, Noggin, reading stories (often twice), playing blocks and just Frank running around saying "no". Of course watching videos consists of Frank running around playing with everything while the video plays on the tv in the background.

Market TIme / Store Update

We had a busy but good market in Atlanta. We made some good orders for new products and met some nice people. We spent all day from about 8:30am - 8:30pm at the market Thursday and Friday and most of Saturday. We stayed out by the airport and rode MARTA downtown. There was all sorts of new products and the food section was especialy yummy. It was more spread out this year with the new building being open. We learned about buying linens and children's clothing which was a new experience. We just needed more money!!
We are looking forward to the new items arriving in the store soon. We are also looking into some advertising venues. We are promoting a customer loyalty club as well. In February we hope to have a bedding event at the store and a John Harte graduation event will happen in April. Things are slow but Frank has been busy getting the system set up and things running smoothly.

Frank IV Update

Frank has really blossomed the last few weeks. He is talking in sentences and playing and understanding so much more. He has gotten taller and very active. He is so cute. Now he wants to "play blocks Mommy" or 'read story Mommy" or "see cows Mommy." He says Frank's house, Frank's room...cows in barn. He recognizes things and has gotten good at talking on the phone. Sunday night he told Nana "love you Nana" when we called to remind her the NC basketball game was on tv.
Of course last night, really early this morning at 4am, he crawled out of his crib completely and opened his door and walked to climb in bed with Mommy. He snuggled up and fell asleep. He then got mad when I got up because he wanted to sleep more! I had been in his room, changed his diaper and rubbed his back. He kept saying rub back Mommy and I told him it was dark outside and night night. I left him fussing thinking he would fall back asleep. Nope - just figured out how to slide out of crib and come to Mommy instead. Now Mommy is tired because she stayed up late reading a book and then got only a little sleep...Hopefully tonight we will all sleep better.

Market Time

We are headed to Atlanta tonight for the Market and will return to Columbia Sunday. Hopefully we will be able to find some great new items for the store. We will have cell phones with us if there is an emergency.
Today is 7th day of store ownership and things have been slow to take off but I think Frank finally has all of the equipment in place and working. We are looking forward to increasing business soon with added merchandise lines and advertising.

Frank IV will be visiting again with Grandma and Pap.
