Lest you think I am not couponing - we are. Just not as diligent about reporting as before but Frank IV and I had a great CVS trip yesterday. We got a "bucket truck" for Frank (after much comparison shopping- should we get dinosaurs, Thomas, car sand then finally truck), tic tacs (orange) for Daddy, Huggies wipes, Pedi-paws. Coupons: $5/15 (from store machine), $2/ huggies (store machine), $10 ECB, $2ECB.
Out of pocket: $1.30 (.95 of taxes)
Total Value: $19.35
So those are pretty random and silly items but my $12ECBs were expiring yesterday and why not have a little fun shopping sometimes.

Thoughts of Lent and Easter
I heard this song this morning and was just touched by the lyrics, especially as we draw towards Easter and remember the sacrifice Jesus made for us. I cannot imagine how Jesus felt knowing his Father sent him to earth to live and die as one of us. Jesus told the disciples several times that he was going to have to die and was well aware during his entry into Jerusalem what awaited him. What an AMAZING LOVE Jesus showed.
"I was dreaming about Heaven, I was standing at the Pearly Gates
We all there And I was so scared in the presence of One so great
I felt so worried and unworthy, I felt like running away
I bowed my head and I turn to go, Then I heard someone say
Father, this one's with me, Part of the family
One of the reasons I died On Calvary
Father, welcome him in I paid the price for him
Father, oh Father, this one's with me. "

Pnuemonia
is not fun. It is not fun being sick. At one point I was so sick I could not even read and it was hard to sleep when I could not breathe! I have been sick for over 9 days at this point. I have been to the doctor three times and I am taking medications. Today I am at work and it is difficult to concentrate for long periods of time and I am just feeling tired. And this is the best I have felt in 9 days.
Big thanks to Mom who came up sick herself to take care of Frank IV for the weekend. She also did his birthday party at school on Friday. They had a dinosaur theme party and cake.
Frank IV does not understand I am sick. I keep telling him he cannot drink after me and that I do not want to play with his toys because I have "germs." I cannot afford for him to get sick since I have already had to take time off work without pay for myself. I have tried to still snuggle but not share too many germs with him.
Keep me in your prayers out there!

Couponing Update
Yes, I am still couponing. Sort of had break between Thanksgiving and New Year with all we had going on. Now that I have new computer, printer and internet at home I up and running again. Amazing how many more bargains I can find with the help of other couponers online!
Publix: Total Savings $39.49
Bi-Lo: Total Savings $25.05
Kroger: Total Savings $17.07
I am working again to make my savings more like 50% each week. I hope to have a big freezer soon so I can stock up when meat is on sale. That is what is pushing up my totals.

Happy New Year!
Welcome 2010. We are looking forward to a great new year. We have moved our store to new location and hope for great things.
Frank IV is getting so big. He will be THREE on February 2, 2010. I still remember telling everyone the good news, arriving at the hospital, and bringing him home. He was so tiny and now we are fighting over the potty. Right now are challenge is the potty. Frank does well at school and not so well at home. We are trying to be patient and work with him and I know he will get it. Just not on our schedules!
One of my goals is to be better at taking pictures, organizing and posting them. I finally have the internet back at home with a new computer to work with. I also started organizing and working in my scrapbooking area. I finally unpacked someof the boxes from our move (Aug 2008). I have some fun pictures and things for Brooks pulled together. I thought Frank IV was maybe looking a little bit like Brooks but it is hard to say.
We appreciate the support and prayers of our family. We hope to spend more time with family this year - it costs very little and is priceless in measure!

Christmas Tree
Frank IV and I put up the little Christmas tree Tuesday night. We also put out his cute Manager scene he got last year from Poppy Bob and Mu. Of course, now he just wants to play with the pieces. He has moved the whole thing a couple of times and keeps re arranging the pieces. It is a good way to learn about the story of Jesus birth.
To turn on the Christmas tree Frank IV blows on it and I hit the switch...poof...twinkly lights! Too cute! I did not pull out all the ornaments so it looks better in the dark. :)
